The trade paper says that studio head Amy Pascal switched on the red light Friday after several changes had been made to the script since it was first approved.
Based on Michael Lewis's nonfiction book about the Oakland Athletics and their general manager Billy Beane – who put together a star Major League team despite a lack of a major bank account – the script was by Ocean's series director Steven Soderbergh and screenwriter Steven Zaillian.
