Lee Si Young turns passive

We have all known Lee Si Young for being one frank lady who always speaks her mind about everything and her fans love her for that. Well, that has to change now after her relationship with JunJin was made public not so long ago since she has lost an opportunity to headline a drama.

As we all know, Lee Si Young is in the movie Ogamdo, an anthology film based around the theme of eros, and she attended the premiere yesterday evening. But that will be the only time that Lee Si Young is promoting the movie as it was revealed that she will not be doing any promotions after that. This was a sharp contrast to earlier news that she would be actively involved, and that has puzzled many of her fans.

The original plan was for Lee Si Young to be actively involved in promoting Ogamdo, where she appears alongside Kim Dong Wook, Jung Eui Chul, Song Joong Ki, Sin Se Gyeong and Lee Sung Min in 1 of the five interconnected segments, Trust the Moment (provocative love) of the movie directed by Oh Ki Hwan. But after her relationship with JunJin was made public, she has become rather passive in front of the media and GnG Production also revealed that Si Young will not be promoting the movie.

The movie production company expressed that Lee Si Young has always showed a willingness to learn during the filming as she was still considered to be pretty much a newbie in the acting industry. But she has adopted a rather passive attitude in recent times and they are guessing that she is afraid that her frank nature during interviews would be misinterpreted by the media and subsequently blown up.

Lee Si Young has also declined all media interviews except for Korean movie website, Cine21. In addition, the reporter was reminded not to ask Lee Si Young anything about JunJin and just concentrate on asking about Lee Si Young's role in Ogamdo.

But it's not all gloom though as JunJin turned up at the movie premiere like he promised earlier, to hand flowers to Lee Si Young and give her encouragement.

Lee Si Young explains her fake name and age rumors

Lee Si Young whose relationship with JunJin was made public and became headline news this past week, came out on tv to address all sorts of rumors surrounding her background, and admitting that they were indeed very real.

This happened on SBS Ya Shim Man Man shown on 29th June where Lee Si Young appeared as 1 of the invited guests alongside Bae Soo Bin and Kim Tae Won. She truthfully spoke up on the rumors of her faking her real age and name plus her relationship with JunJin.

With regards to having a real name but yet keeping it hidden and pretending that her stage name is her real name, Lee Si Young said, "Lee Si Young is my real name now. My original name was Lee Eun Rae but I changed it (legally) to Lee Si Young."

As for reporting her age to be 2 years younger than her actual age of 28, Lee Si Young admitted, "When I auditioned for roles, I reported my age as 26 instead of 28, that's the truth." Lee Si Young added that because of the age issue, it's hard for a newbie like her to get selected for roles as people do judge actresses based on their age and also explains why some actresses do not really reveal their ages.

Junjin: In 10 years’ time I’ll be happily married with kids

Lee Shi Young’s boyfriend Junjin (real name Park Choong Jae) said in an interview that in 10 years’ time, he “will be happily married with kids”.

After Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, Shanghai and Chengdu, Junjin performed at the last stop of his Asian tour in Beijing on 20th June. Having admitted to dating Lee Shi Young a day earlier on 19th June, Junjin was interviewed by Chinese online portal Sohu, and talked about his girlfriend Lee Shi Young.

During the interview, with regards to his public declaration, he said, “I feel good. I’m curious to know what my fans think about my girlfriend.”

When asked about how Shinhwa would be like 10 years from now, Junjin said, “10 years later we’ll still be on stage, we’ll all be happily married with adorable children.”

Though Junjin didn’t specifically talk about marriage plans, he mentioned in the interview that it was love at first sight for him, and because of that, they were more natural in their portrayal of a married couple on MBC variety show ‘We Got Married’.
===========================================
(It’s the same interview as above, just that it’s in Q&A format)

Q: Now the fans are most concerned about Junjin’s love life. How do you feel now?
A: I feel good. I’m curious to know what my fans think about my girlfriend.

Q: The fans are curious about what attracted you to Lee Shi Young.
A: She has many attractive points – she’s simple, occasionally very stubborn, and she’s very forthcoming. The first impression is very important to me, and my first impression of Lee Shi Young was very good.

Q: Was it love at first sight?
A: Yes

Q: If that’s the case, how was it like playing a married couple on MBC’s ‘We Got Married’?
A: Because I was attracted to her, I think I was more natural during filming. On the show, we were a make-believe couple, but many couples on the show all faced issues of different personalities. Even though we were also a make-believe couple, I felt that no matter what, you’re most natural when you can feel the attraction from the other party.

Q: It’s been 11 years since Shinhwa’s debut. What will Shinhwa and Junjin be like in 10 years’ time?
A: Even it’s in another 10 years, we’ll still be on stage, and we’ll all be happily married with adorable children. Just like Seo Taiji and Boys, we’ll continue to work hard.
