‘My Fair Lady’ Makes Good Start

The new KBS2 drama “My Fair Lady” got off to a good start by topping the viewing chart among Wednesday-Thursday dramas with ratings of 17.4 percent.

There have been high expectations for the drama due to its star-studded cast, including Yoon Eun-hye, Yoon Sang-hyun, Jung Il-woo and Moon Chae-won.

The first episode featured an encounter between Kang Hye-na (Yoon Eun-hye), an arrogant heiress of a rich business family, and Seo Dong-chan (Yoon Sang-hyun), a poor man who used to live by seducing and deceiving women.

The two became involved in a minor accident due to a mistake made by Hye-na. But Hye-na, far from apologizing, treated Dong-chan with a haughty attitude. Becoming angry, Dong-chan refused to accept a settlement, which resulted in Hye-na receiving a court injunction to do public service work. She tried to get even with him by scheming to disappear and make it look as if he abducted her.

This prompted Dong-chan to use Hye-na to acquire a fortune. He entered her home by getting a job as her butler, shocking her, and the episode ended there.

In the second episode, Jung Il-woo appeared as Lee Tae-yoon, a human rights lawyer from a rich family who forms a love triangle with Yoon Sang-hyun.
