Lee Si Young turns passive

We have all known Lee Si Young for being one frank lady who always speaks her mind about everything and her fans love her for that. Well, that has to change now after her relationship with JunJin was made public not so long ago since she has lost an opportunity to headline a drama.

As we all know, Lee Si Young is in the movie Ogamdo, an anthology film based around the theme of eros, and she attended the premiere yesterday evening. But that will be the only time that Lee Si Young is promoting the movie as it was revealed that she will not be doing any promotions after that. This was a sharp contrast to earlier news that she would be actively involved, and that has puzzled many of her fans.

The original plan was for Lee Si Young to be actively involved in promoting Ogamdo, where she appears alongside Kim Dong Wook, Jung Eui Chul, Song Joong Ki, Sin Se Gyeong and Lee Sung Min in 1 of the five interconnected segments, Trust the Moment (provocative love) of the movie directed by Oh Ki Hwan. But after her relationship with JunJin was made public, she has become rather passive in front of the media and GnG Production also revealed that Si Young will not be promoting the movie.

The movie production company expressed that Lee Si Young has always showed a willingness to learn during the filming as she was still considered to be pretty much a newbie in the acting industry. But she has adopted a rather passive attitude in recent times and they are guessing that she is afraid that her frank nature during interviews would be misinterpreted by the media and subsequently blown up.

Lee Si Young has also declined all media interviews except for Korean movie website, Cine21. In addition, the reporter was reminded not to ask Lee Si Young anything about JunJin and just concentrate on asking about Lee Si Young's role in Ogamdo.

But it's not all gloom though as JunJin turned up at the movie premiere like he promised earlier, to hand flowers to Lee Si Young and give her encouragement.

Junjin: In 10 years’ time I’ll be happily married with kids

Lee Shi Young’s boyfriend Junjin (real name Park Choong Jae) said in an interview that in 10 years’ time, he “will be happily married with kids”.

After Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, Shanghai and Chengdu, Junjin performed at the last stop of his Asian tour in Beijing on 20th June. Having admitted to dating Lee Shi Young a day earlier on 19th June, Junjin was interviewed by Chinese online portal Sohu, and talked about his girlfriend Lee Shi Young.

During the interview, with regards to his public declaration, he said, “I feel good. I’m curious to know what my fans think about my girlfriend.”

When asked about how Shinhwa would be like 10 years from now, Junjin said, “10 years later we’ll still be on stage, we’ll all be happily married with adorable children.”

Though Junjin didn’t specifically talk about marriage plans, he mentioned in the interview that it was love at first sight for him, and because of that, they were more natural in their portrayal of a married couple on MBC variety show ‘We Got Married’.
===========================================
(It’s the same interview as above, just that it’s in Q&A format)

Q: Now the fans are most concerned about Junjin’s love life. How do you feel now?
A: I feel good. I’m curious to know what my fans think about my girlfriend.

Q: The fans are curious about what attracted you to Lee Shi Young.
A: She has many attractive points – she’s simple, occasionally very stubborn, and she’s very forthcoming. The first impression is very important to me, and my first impression of Lee Shi Young was very good.

Q: Was it love at first sight?
A: Yes

Q: If that’s the case, how was it like playing a married couple on MBC’s ‘We Got Married’?
A: Because I was attracted to her, I think I was more natural during filming. On the show, we were a make-believe couple, but many couples on the show all faced issues of different personalities. Even though we were also a make-believe couple, I felt that no matter what, you’re most natural when you can feel the attraction from the other party.

Q: It’s been 11 years since Shinhwa’s debut. What will Shinhwa and Junjin be like in 10 years’ time?
A: Even it’s in another 10 years, we’ll still be on stage, and we’ll all be happily married with adorable children. Just like Seo Taiji and Boys, we’ll continue to work hard.

Lee Si Young punished for falling in love

We reported earlier about JunJin (28) and Lee Si Young (27) falling in love on We Got Married and they themselves have confirmed their relationship through a series of interviews over the past few days. Then there was talk that there was going to be a press conference today where JunJin and Lee Si Young would make their relationship public but that was seemingly cancelled or denied by the both of them as being untrue and a misinterpretation. But their actions are apparently having a serious impact on Lee Si Young's career which just took off this year.

Lee Si Young was thought to have been the female lead for MBC's Hand Signal drama, which will premiere on 5th September. But Lee Si Young's management got a call from MBC on the 23rd, saying that Lee Si Young has been dropped from the drama totally.

Lee Si Young's management was perplexed at this sudden turn of events as Lee Si Young had cleared the auditions held in late May, and got a confirmation from the production company that she will be the female lead. Since then, Lee Si Young has been preparing herself in earnest for her drama. But after her relationship with JunJin was revealed, the production company are acting as if nothing has ever happened before. In addition, CFs that are currently being filmed have also been stopped.

According to an insider, "Lee Si Young's promising career might be stopped in it's tracks because of her relationship with JunJin being made public. Although falling in love isn't a sin, screenwriter (of Hand Signal), Im Sung Han who likes to be very secretive, must have been angered by the exposure of Lee Si Young's relationship with JunJin."

A check with a staff from the production team of Hand Signal revealed, "Screenwriter Im Sung Han has absolute authority to allocate the roles accordingly with his script. Although Lee Si Young was under consideration for the role, but because no contract has been signed, we reserve the right to change the cast around at anytime."

Another revealed, "Screenwriter Im Sung Han has always been highly secretive about his work. Take his last work, Ah Hyun Dong's Madam, the male and female leads were only revealed just before the drama was shown on television. Even when the drama was airing, he prohibited the media from interviewing his male and female leads. With the news of Lee Si Young being the female lead of Hand Signal being revealed beforehand without his permission coupled with the news of Lee Si Young dating JunJin, Im Sung Han must be really hopping mad and thus decided to drop her in the end."

JunJin and Lee Si Young back on We Got Married?

After JunJin and Lee Si Young were reported and confirmed to be in a dating relationship last Friday, everyone was looking forward to the press conference where JunJin would announce and make their relationship official. But it seems that the press conference is now no more.

JunJin's manager revealed to the media this afternoon that the press conference was a misinterpretation and was something that hasn't been confirmed at all. Both of them also announced that there are no plans for a press conference at the moment. Lee Si Young also wrote on her Cyworld that the press conference talk is not true and she personally hasn't heard about it at all.

It's also reported the the production team of MBC's Sunday Sunday Night are now liasing with the management agencies of JunJin and Lee Si Young to get them back on We Got Married where they fell in love. Both management agencies have confirmed that they are in talks but nothing has been finalized yet. Isn't it ironic that they are now trying to get JunJin and Lee Si Young back after booting them out in the first place? But with JunJin and Lee Si Young now a real couple, it does fit the concept of We Got Married Season 2 and they would bring more star power to the show, and more variety since there's only 1 couple right now. I for one will be tuning straight back in.

But on the other hand, JunJin is entering the army within this year while Lee Si Young has lots of acting assignments on her schedule. So it might be not a possibility at all.

Both management agencies have acknowledged the relationship between JunJin and Lee Si Young and expressed that they just aren't ready to announce their relationship to the world as yet. Another insider revealed that both JunJin and Lee Si Young treasure this relationship a lot and hope that their fans will give them their blessings.

Junjin’s mother has expressed her good impression of Lee Shi Young in an interview with the crew of KBS2 entertainment news program ‘Entertainment Relay (Yeonyega Chunggye)’, broadcast on 20th June.

“I met her for a short while, and I like her honest and unpretentious ways.”

Singer Beige, whose music video for her song ‘Very’ starred both Junjin and Lee Shi Young, also commented, “During the filming of the music video, they were joking and playing around with each other and they really gave people the feeling that they were really a couple.”

Jun Jin & Lee Si Young Are Dating For Real!

Looks like all of the members of Infinity Challenge are off the market!

Following the marriages of Park Myung Soo and Yoo Jae Suk last year and the relationship revelations of Jung Joon Ha, Jung Hyung Don, and Noh Hong Chul in the first half of 2009, Jun Jin was thought to be the only single member of Infinity Challenge. However, he revealed on the episode to be broadcast on June 20 that he is also dating someone – who happens to be his former We Got Married partner, Lee Si Young.

The news comes as a surprise to many who watched as Jun Jin and Lee Si Young met and clashed on the reality program. However, a source close to Jun Jin confirmed that the two went from an imaginary relationship to a real one three months ago. Lee starred in Jun Jin’s music video for “Hey Ya!”. The two then appeared as lovers in the MV for Beige’s recent title track, “Awfully“, which was seen as a “Hey Ya!”, Part II.

There have been other hints leading up to this revelation. While hosting a fan meeting in Taiwan last week, Jun Jin told the crowd, “I’ve been active as an entertainer for over 10 years. It’d be nice if fans would now be broadminded about accepting my dating relationships. I’ll let you know some good news soon.” He also recently posted, “I completely love [you]!!…….” on his minihompy.

Jun Jin (28 turning 29) debuted as a singer-rapper in Korea’s longest-running boy band in 1998. He went on to pursue acting as well as a solo singing career. He is a popular guest on many variety programs and replaced Haha on Infinity Challenge in June 2008. Lee Si Young (27), on the other hand, is a relatively late newcomer to the entertainment industry. She gained popularity through her role on Boys Over Flowers and appeared on We Got Married for several months. Her first film, Ogamdo, will hit theatres in July.

The couple are planning to hold a press conference next week (likely June 23) to confirm their relationship. Netizens are buzzing whether or not the two will join the newly formatted We Got Married. However, this will likely be impossible since Jun Jin is expected to join the military in the latter half of 2009.

Junjin confirms that he’s the reason why Shin Hyesung spent at least 10 million won on alcohol

Shinhwa member Shin Hyesung had previously mentioned that he has already spent a total of about some 10 million won (approx USD10,000) on drinking because of Junjin.

During the recording for the 16th June episode of MBC Every1’s “It’s The Age Of Flower Boys”, Junjin admitted that what Shin Hyesung said was the truth.

Junjin said, “I’ve never forced him to pay, but he always insists on paying,” before adding with some unhappiness, “Only Shin Hyesung puts me down in front of others.”

He also talked about how he had a zero balance in his bank account and some interesting experiences related to cars.

In addition, he talked about why he doesn’t have much to say on MBC variety show ‘Infinite Challenge’ when asked by MC Lee Ji Hoon. Junjin however, did prove his wit and speaking skills in verbal exchanges with the MCs.

He added, “I’ve learnt a great deal from the IC hyungs about politics, economics and culture”, arousing the MCs’ curiosity with such a surprising statement.
